江衡,1972 年生于广东。 现任广东工业大学艺术与设计学院教师,硕士生导师,并担任泰国布拉帕大学博士生导师。2012 年,其代表作《亚洲之爱——翩翩起舞的蝴蝶》被法国巴黎联合国教科文组织总部收藏,成为该机构首次收藏的中国当代艺术作品。2022 年获意大利“老桥奖”(Ponte Vecchio Prize)杰出艺术创作奖;2023 年获“KUART 年度艺术人物”称号,并获得意大利索尼奥·卡尔迪诺考古博物馆颁发的“ARS STEAS”艺术奖;2025 年荣获意大利国家和平“象征奖”(Symbol Award)。其创作跨越装置、影像、绘画、摄影与多媒体等多种形式,根植历史与文化,并延伸至多元的当代文化领域,同时活跃于策展与文化活动组织工作。江衡曾受邀参加逾 200 场个展与群展,包括:威尼斯双年展平行展(2011、2013、2017)、巴塞尔迈阿密艺博会与巴塞尔香港(2008、2025)、广东美术馆主办的广州三年展(2012)、成都双年展(2001、2023)、湖北美术馆纪录三年展(2014、2023)、“城市即美术馆”第二届深圳当代艺术双年展(2017)、深港城市\建筑双城双年展(2018)、深圳国际水墨双年展(2018)、首届莫斯科国际青年艺术双年展(2008)、上海美术馆主办的“翩翩蝴蝶——江衡个展”(2009)、第 56 届威尼斯双年展“通往地狱之路”江衡个展(2015)、“第三届意中艺术双年展”(2015)、广东美术馆主办的“美丽·柔软——江衡个展”(2019)、“记忆——2014 中意当代艺术双年展”(2014)、“第三届罗马文化与艺术双年展”(2019)、南京艺术学院美术馆、广东美术馆与湖北美术馆联合主办的“切·未吹散的记忆”江衡个展(2021)、“进退之间”中国当代水墨六周年学术邀请展(2022)、西安崔振宽美术馆“无时之花·春永在”江衡个展(2023)、“更新的使命”广东艺术百年展(2025)等重要展事。

Jiang Heng, Guangdong, 1972. Currently teaching at the School of Art and Design, Guangdong University of Technology, serving as a Master’s Supervisor and a Doctoral Supervisor at Burapha University, Thailand. In 2012, his representative work “Asian Love—Fluttering Butterflies” was collected by the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France, marking the organization’s first acquisition of a Chinese contemporary artwork. In 2022, he received the Outstanding Artist Creation Award of Italy’s “Ponte Vecchio Prize.” In 2023, he was honored as the “KUART” Annual Art Personality and received the “ARS STEAS” Art Award from the Italian Sonnio Cardino Archaeological Museum. In 2025, he was awarded the Italian National Peace “Symbol Award.” His creative practice spans various artistic forms, including installation, video, painting, photography, and multimedia. Rooted in history and culture, his artistic work extends across diverse contemporary cultural fields, and he also curates and organizes various activities in the realm of contemporary culture. Jiang Heng has been invited to participate in over 200 solo and group exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale (parallel group exhibitions in 2011, 2013, and 2017), Art Basel Miami and Art Basel Hong Kong (2008, 2025), the Guangzhou Triennial hosted by the Guangdong Museum of Art (2012), the Chengdu Biennale (2001, 2023), the Hubei Museum of Art Documentary Triennial (2014, 2023), the “City (Is) Museum” Second Shenzhen Contemporary Art Biennale (2017), the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture (2018), the Shenzhen International Ink Painting Biennale (2018), the First Moscow International Youth Art Biennale (2008), the “Fluttering Butterflies—Jiang Heng Solo Exhibition” hosted by the Shanghai Art Museum (2009), the “Road to Hell” Jiang Heng Solo Exhibition at the 56th Venice Biennale (2015), the “Third Italy-China Art Biennale” (2015), the “Beautiful, Soft—Jiang Heng Solo Exhibition” hosted by the Guangdong Museum of Art (2019), the “Memory—2014 China-Italy Contemporary Art Biennale” (2014), the “Third Rome Biennale of Culture and Art” (2019), the “Cut, Unblown Memories” Jiang Heng Solo Exhibition jointly hosted by the Art Museum of Nanjing University of the Arts, Guangdong Museum of Art, and Hubei Museum of Art (2021), the “Advance and Retreat” Sixth Anniversary Academic Invitational Exhibition of Chinese Contemporary Ink Art (2022), the “Flowers Without Season, Spring Eternal” Jiang Heng Solo Exhibition at Xi’an Cui Zhenkuan Art Museum (2023), and the “Mission for Renewal” Centennial Exhibition of Guangdong Art (2025).
