Nature, art and printmaking

Through traditional and experimental practices Francesco Geronazzo, founder of The Printmaker Movement, aims to expand the perimeters of printmaking.
With Studios in Margaret River, Western Australia and Castel del Rio, Bologna Italy he focuses on building an international artistic community fostering relationships and developing printmaking skills, and exhibited in prestigious galleries worldwide.

He started printmaking to focus on the space between action and results. Nature is the main focus of his work, encouraging his reflection about the beauty of transformation and shapes.
Francesco aims to expand the boundaries of art through traditional and experimental techniques, to show the relationship between nature and contemporary society.
Reinventing an ancient technique like that of printmaking art, Geronazzo creates poetic pictures where his artisan and manual working method gives rise to an authentic “aesthetic of imperfection”.
In contrast with that process of production and reproduction of images offered by modern technologies, Geronazzo creates etchings, sculptures and installations where traces of nature and lifetime memories fuse themselves in a very slow and delicate creative process.

From differences we grow.
