lfred Mirashi Milot, born in 1969, is a prominent contemporary artist who currently lives and works in Florence, Italy. A graduate of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan (1999), he continued his artistic education at the University of Art and Design in Loughborough, England, through a prestigious scholarship. His professional career began with the 2003 solo exhibition “Le Veneri di Milot” at the Maschio Angioino Museum in Naples, curated by Francesco Poli and Eduardo Cicelyn. From that point onward, Milot embarked on a dynamic artistic journey marked by numerous solo and group exhibitions across the globe. Among his major projects are the 6th Beijing International Art Biennale at the National Museum of China (2012); “Open 14” at the Venice Lido, curated by Paolo De Grandis (2014); and “Azione e Pensiero – Xhixha e Milot” at the Royal Palace of Turin, a collaborative exhibition with artist Helidon Xhixha curated by Anselmo Villata (2016). He also took part in the 10th edition of “Stemperando – Turin Biennale of Works on Paper.”In 2016, Milot presented the solo exhibition “Believe” at Tornabuoni Gallery in Florence, curated by Lucio Trizzino, and unveiled a monumental sculpture in Lizzanello (LE) as part of “Art & Human Rights,” curated by Massimo Guastella. Two years later, he realized “La Chiave di Cervinara,” another monumental work curated by Peppino Vaccariello, and participated in “The International Artist and Children’s Art” at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Benevento, curated by Ferdinando Creta and Nello Valente. In 2022, his monumental sculpture “Key of Today” was installed in Piazza del Mercato, Naples, curated by Maurizio De Giovanni with artistic direction by Michele Stanzione. Beyond his own creations, Milot has played a significant curatorial role in several international exhibitions. He curated the Albanian Pavilion for the 6th Biennale of Works on Paper at the National University Library in Turin, as well as at the National Historical Museum in Tirana and the Villa Vecchia Museum at Villa Doria Pamphili in Rome (2015). His curatorial projects also include the 6th Jinan International Photography Biennale in Shandong, China (2016), the solo exhibition of acclaimed Chinese photographer Zeng Yi at the National Historical Museum in Tirana (2016), and the installation of two monumental sculptures by Wu Weishan at the Leonardo Museum in Vinci. Over the years, Milot has received numerous international awards and honors recognizing his artistic excellence. These include the “Premio alle Eccellenze” from Napoli Cultural Classic (2010); a gold medal in painting from the Barbican Center Museum in London during the Olympic Games (2012); the first prize from the Water Cube Museum in Beijing (2015); a Visiting Professorship at Shandong University of Art and Design in China (2016); the first prize at “Eccellenze dell’Arte Contemporanea” in Rome, curated by Francesco Gallo Mazzeo (2016); and the “Artisuavitas” Lifetime Achievement Award at the Royal Palace of Naples (2022). Since 2020, Alfred Mirashi Milot has served as Director of the DODO Art Museum in Beijing. His works are featured in numerous public and private collections, confirming his status as a major figure in contemporary international art.
